Directors Lifeline Talk to a practitioner

How it works

What we do, what we don't, and what it costs you.

Read the guide that matches your situation

Each one says what happens, in what order, what you can still influence, and what to do this week. No jargon, no sales pitch.

Tell us what is going on

One form, five questions: your name, the company, rough turnover, the problem, and a number to call. It takes under a minute.

A licensed practitioner calls you

We match you with a practitioner for your type of problem, on a written agreement to call back the same working day. The first conversation is free and confidential.

What we do not do

We do not give advice. We do not tell you whether to liquidate, how to deal with HMRC, or what to offer a creditor. That is regulated work and it belongs to the licensed practitioner you speak to.

We do not sell your details. They go to one practitioner and nobody else. We do not run a newsletter. You will not hear from us again unless you ask.

How the site is funded

When a director we introduce goes on to instruct a practitioner, that practitioner pays us a referral fee. It is a fixed arrangement agreed in writing in advance, it does not vary with what you are charged, and it does not change what you pay.

We would rather you knew. Every page on this site says the same thing, because a reader in trouble should not have to guess who is paying.

Questions directors ask

What does it cost me?
Nothing. The guides are free and the introduction is free. The practitioner pays us a referral fee if you go on to instruct them, and that fee does not change what you pay them.
Who will call me?
A licensed insolvency practitioner from a firm we have a written agreement with, chosen for your type of problem and for calling back the same working day.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Your details go to the one practitioner we match you with and to nobody else. We do not run a newsletter or a marketing list.
Do I have to instruct them?
No. The first conversation is free and carries no obligation. Many directors use it to understand their position and then decide.
Are you regulated?
We are an information service and we do not give advice, so we are not regulated as advisers. The practitioners we introduce are licensed by a recognised professional body and regulated under the Insolvency Act 1986.
